העדות המלאה On 18 April 1945, while driving home to Wierzbnik I noticed a freshly-dug grave in the Jewish cemetery outside of the town. When I got home, I went to examine it, just out of curiosity. Upon entering the cemetery, I saw two bodies lying next to that grave. I identified them as Jews, who came back from the Auschwitz camp only a week before. Later on, I found out that Brit and Wajsberg (names of those dead Jews) came back home at 8 p.m. and went to sleep. Home Army (Armia Krajowa) soldiers found them in beds and shot them. In the morning, the bodies of those unfortunate people were found by the Jews who managed to run away and escape a similar fate. One body was shot in the back of the head and the other in the chest. The corpses were buried in a common grave in the Jewish cemetery.
