העדות המלאה [July 1943?] Before the last transport, Gestapo arranged a manhunt in Hotel Polski. 472 Jews (including 25-30 children) who did not have their American passports yet were taken to Pawiak prison and executed there. Eng. Wróblewski's wife and child were among those people. At that time, he was working at Pawiak and saw the execution through the window in his cell, which was overlooking the entrance gate to Pawiak. People were taken in groups of 10 out of Pawiak to Dzielna street. There was a rundown house, where they were told to strip naked and later executed. The execution was conducted by Oberscharführer Fruhwirth (from Vienna, a sadist). Oberscharführer Albers and Oberscharführer Zander. The victims were burnt on the spot, on the same day just after the execution. 10 Jews from Befehlsstelle (command post) were in charge of burning (those 10 were executed in April 1944). The bodies were arranged with alternate layers of wooden boards, then covered with petrol and set on fire.
