Full Testimony	[July 1941] Three weeks after their arrival, Gestapo officers came to Włodzimierz and started a 'łapanka’ (a round-up of civilians by Gestapo). 300 Jews died that day. Meanwhile, I managed to hide in a bell tower. I was able to see the prison courtyard where Jews were being executed. At first, they were told to undress themselves and dig their own graves, later they were killed.
