Full Testimony In March 1942 Germans announced that they needed a contingent of people. It was Judenrat's job to deliver them. The victims were the poorest people who were using the kitchen: those living in the orphanage, Red Army soldiers' wives and children, refugees, the poor from the outskirts, in general, all the "cheap men"." [...] When the contingent was full, they were loaded onto trucks and taken to Janówka, where pits had been prepared. All of them were killed with the use of machine guns, only a few managed to escape
