Full Testimony	[9 September 1939] The same night the Jewish district was set on fire [...] Germans did not allow any Jews to get out, and those who were trying to escape, were immediately killed. Jews were burnt alive or executed during the escape. Nuta Grodkowicz, my companion from "Bund" Party, a former official in the municipality office - cemetery department, told me that he had witnessed the burial of those who burnt alive or were shot: 63 Jews in the Jewish cemetery in Będzin at Czeladzka street.
