Full Testimony The hospital "liquidation" was taking place at the same time. The hospital, which was supposed to be a haven both for the patients and the staff became a mass grave. A group of SS men and Polish policemen burst into the hospital, savagely torturing bed-ridden patients and shooting at those who were resisting. The action was completed in a blink of an eye. Blood-curdling screams of innocent old people and sick patients were accompanied by the sounds of machine guns and revolvers. At the same time, on the streets and in the apartments the rest of the hiding Jews are being hunted. An incessant shooting is all you can hear. Dead bodies are lying on the streets, people carry them out of apartments and bunkers. Garbage trucks pull up constantly. Stiff but still warm bodies of young women, men and children are being thrown onto those trucks. People at the cemetery work hard. The mass graves are being filled with martyrs.
